FIGHTING FEMALES  INTERNATIONAL NEWS CENTRE UPDATE FOR MARCH 12th 2010

The next edition of 'Fighting Females' will most definitely be online around Tuesday March 16th and it's over 50 pages at present.  Interviews include Lexie Fyfe, Molly Holly, Rain, Nevaeh, Skarlett, Nikki the NY Knockout, Team Blossom, Bacardi, Sean McCaffrey from WSU, the executive director of Wrestlicious and the creator of 'Rival Angels' Alan Evans.

Added to that are some new features and some returning ones including a look back at what was happening in WWE five and ten years ago, a look at websites that cover women's wrestling and the best Tweets from female wrestlers over the past week or so and the Parade of Champions section is back. We also have a tribute to Wendy Richter who's soon to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, DVD reviews from Brad Dykens at Onlineworldofwrestling.com and our new writer female wrestler Britanny Force.

WSU

The third anniversary show was held on March 6th at the ACE Arena in Union City. Mercedes Martinez defeated Rain in a 35 minute Uncensored Rules match to retain her WSU World title in a match refereed by Molly Holly (who along with Dawn Marie and Jazz were earlier inducted into the WSU Hall of Fame) and will now defend the belt against Amber O'Neal at the J-Cup tournament show on April 2nd after O'Neal beat Jazz after two ref bumps to become the new number one contender and take her undefeated streak in the company to 6-0.

Brittney Savage beat Alicia to become the first two-time WSU Spirit Champion after interference by Rick Cataldo, the scheduled match between Orsini and Nikki Roxx didn't take place due to Roxx still being out injured so Sumie Sakai took her place only for the returning Amy Lee to make the match a three-way street fight. Orsini got the win. Angelina Love defeated Sassy Stephanie, tag action saw The Boston Shore (Amber and Lexxus) get a win over Tina San Antonio and Marti Belle, Alere Little Feather made her return to WSU defeating Rick Cataldo (who worked the show despite a dislocated shoulder in this bout). After the match ALF was attacked by Cindi Rogers setting up an impromptu match with the now heel Rogers getting the submission victory.

Jana beat Latasha in a submission match and April Hunter beat Traci Brooks but was attacked after the match by The Boston Shore who then told the fans that Killer Kowalski (who trained Hunter) would be rolling in his grave if he saw her today. Traci Brooks made the save and announced she was now working for WSU and would be tagging with April in the future as the new and improved TNA aka Traci 'N April. Hunter then set up a future match with The Boston Shore for a future show.

Mercedes Martinez defends her WSU title against Sumie Sakai on the EVOLVE show taking place in Rahway on March 13th.

WSU Commissioner Dawn Marie has ruled that if Angel Orsini wins the J-Cup on April 2nd as she did last year, she will be allowed to challenge for the WSU title. After losing the Iron Woman match to Mercedes Martinez last year a match stipulation meant Orsini couldn't get another title match while Martinez was still the champion.

Rain has had to pull out of the J-Cup due to her commitments with AAA in Mexico. Also out of the tournament is Jennifer Cruz.Nikki Roxx is likely to make her return from injury for the tournament. Alicia has announced she won't be using her rematch clause and instead will focus on winning the WSU World title. More information at www.wsuwrestling.com
